We are currently seeking a Seasonal Catering Chef to join our team for special events across the city. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong focus on customer service. As a Seasonal Catering Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our events by delivering high-quality culinary experiences to our clients and their guests.

*Summary: *This position works as part of a team to ensure food/menu items are prepared and served according to recipes and/or production sheets, brand procedures and quality standards in a timely manner. Utilizes knowledge of food safety standards to prepare menu items within standard preparation times. Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Good decision-making, and ability to proactively make changes as needed. This position is required to work nights and weekends and attend off premise catering events as needed. A valid driver's license, and ability to drive a small box truck is a plus, but not required.

Catering experience is required. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*Duties and Responsibilities include the following. * Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares high quality menu items according to recipe (production sheets) or at the direction of Corp. Executive Sous Chef or Chef.
  • Prepares food according to production sheets, ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes.
  • Follow par levels of prep items.
  • Ensures food preparation station/area is properly cleaned and stocked for food preparation. This includes assisting with prep (cutting vegetables, slicing cheese and other items, preparing sauces, etc.) when needed.
  • Assist with keeping food storage clean and properly organized. Must utilize FIFO method when storing and using food inventory.
  • Coordinate production for WinKitchen and Snyder House operations.
  • Stocks kitchen supplies.
  • Maintains monthly inventory and makes appropriate orders.
  • Assists with keeping the overall kitchen clean. May be required to wash dishes.
  • As determined by the contract, may be required to serve food.
  • May be required to attend events as an onsite chef.
  • May be required to deliver food and beverages.
  • Consistently   monitor   and   oversee   all   kitchen   equipment   for   safe   operations.  
  • Monitor sanitation team required daily, weekly, and   monthly   cleaning   and   sanitation   standards   are   being   adhered   to.  Ensure that safe and sanitation procedures are always followed.
  • Maintain professional uniform appearance.

     

*Education/Experience: *High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in preparing Asian cuisine and knowledge of using commercial woks is preferred.  Culinary certificate or degree preferred. Candidate must have experience with fine dining service and a high level of cooking.

*Specialized Training and Other Requirements: *Must maintain a ServSafe certification.  May be required to submit to post hire background checks.
