Description

We are on the hunt for a Data Scientist in the healthcare industry, specifically located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role involves reviewing scientific data from clinical studies of Ultrasound exams, with a particular focus on statistical analysis. The employment opportunity offers a short-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a thorough review of the scientific data derived from clinical study of Ultrasound exams.

• Conduct a detailed analysis of the statistical assumptions made during the preliminary analysis of the data.

• Provide insightful feedback on the elements such as learning effect, the relationship between the number of years of expertise to endpoints, etc.

• Leverage skills including Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, Apache Spark, Cloud Technologies, Data Visualization, Algorithm Implementation, Analytics, Apache Hadoop, API Development, AWS Technologies for data processing and analysis.

• Work with Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.

• Utilize your expertise in healthcare to interpret and analyze clinical data.

• Implement and maintain data algorithms.

• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

• Filter and clean data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark

• Extensive knowledge in Cloud Technologies

• Demonstrated skills in Data Visualization

• Proven experience in Algorithm Implementation

• Proficiency in Analytics

• Strong knowledge of Apache Hadoop

• Experience in API Development

• Proficiency in AWS Technologies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R
