Wolters Kluwer DXG U.S. Inc. seeks Principal Architect - Application/Product in Philadelphia, PA.

Driving the development of commercial Education-based solutions as a key architect. Developing an Education-based solution architectural strategy in alignment with organizational goals. Partnering with and managing application teams to deliver architecturally defined strategies. Responsible for leading vendor or product selection of 3rd party software components. Leading the end-to-end solution design and architecture for key company initiatives. Act as the technology owner in critical projects, ensuring project success by understanding the needs of the business and leadership, identifying appropriate solutions, and determining how technology should be leveraged to make the solution happen. Responsible for managing a team of at least 3 Application Architects, Software Engineers or related IT positions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 8 years of related experience. Requires any amount of experience in the following:

1. Define technology requirements for company products.

2.  Define application architecture to scale to support market and business requirements using DataMesh, AIOps, Microservice architecture, GoF, SOA or Event sourcing.

3. Site Reliability Engineering best practices: scaling, resiliency, recovery, security and privacy

4. Enterprise technology space: PHP, Angular, Rest API, MySQL and GraphQL.

5. Agile concepts and principles: LEAN, Scrum or Kanban.

6. Build, lead and deliver complex technology projects utilizing cross-functional teams and vendors.

    

Travel throughout the U.S. required up to 10% of the time. Telecommuting is permitted.
