This position reports to the Shop Foreman and is responsible for servicing and providing regularly scheduled maintenance on fire protection products as brought in by Portables and Kitchen Systems Technicians. Shop Technician works to ensure any piece of fire protection products maintained by our company is in the best possible working condition, complete tasks assigned by the Shop Foreman while maintaining focus on quality, service, and safety objectives. The Technician will be expected to meet weekly productivity goals. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized workstation and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities

Manage their time to complete the maximum amount of service and maintenance.

Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the Shop Foreman.

Protect and maintain company equipment.

Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.

Job Qualifications

Ability to learn required processes for servicing and maintaining a variety of fire protection Products including fire extinguishers.

A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record.

Ability to perform physical activities outlined in accompanying physical requirements checklist.

A strong work ethic and professional appearance.

Ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork.

Working habits and personal appearance which are both neat and well organized.

Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicable experience in the fire protection industry.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
