Thomas Jefferson Univ Transplant Program Quality Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 9303954 Primary Function: Regulatory compliance and process expert for the Division of Transplantation; maintains a thorough knowledge of all UNOS and CMS regulations; provides ongoing guidance, updates and education; evaluates current administrative and clinical systems and processes to determine adequacy; designs annual compliance plan that incorporates new or developing practices and regulations, systems and outcome measure evidence and organizational goals; develops data definitions, elements, metrics, queries and reports and oversees data monitoring and reports; conducts analyses, makes recommendations, designs and implements action plans; safeguards the quality of care and the integrity of the program; facilitates quarterly QAPI meetings, and tracking of follow up items, subcommittee work and schedules. Supervises additional QAPI personnel in the transplant program.

This position generally requires providing service to young adult, adult and older adult populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional / developmental age of the individual served. Registered Nurse required.BSN preferred. Current Pennsylvania RN license Minimum of 5 years clinical and 1-3 years of healthcare management and leadership experience including a quality assurance background preferred. Clinical experience in Transplantation or Critical Care preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, LANs, and database utilization. Ability to perform advanced analysis of information. Strong organizational skills required.
