The BNI Staff Neuropsychologist (fluency in English and Spanish) provides neuropsychological assessment and treatment services within the scope of their licensing, training, and clinical privileges, and supervises and teaches residents and/or fellows as indicated. Staff neuropsychologists with dedicated research time demonstrate productivity in research through publications and grant funding.

Professional Practice:

Provides appropriate and effective neuropsychological care as required to diagnose and treat the psychological

manifestations of neurological, psychiatric, and medical conditions.

Works collaboratively with the Department Chair, Practice Manager, and BNI senior leadership to ensure that high quality

patient care is provided in an efficient and consistent manner.

Participates in the training, supervision, and evaluation of psychometrists, as applicable.

Participates in activities that improve patient access and patient satisfaction.

Develops and maintains positive relationships with community health care providers to develop and encourage patient referrals.

Attends to medical records in a timely and appropriate manner to facilitate continuity of care, confidentiality of information,

compliance with medical reporting standards, and accurate and timely billing of services.

Complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements for patient care, medical records, and billing activities, and

works cooperatively with regulatory and accreditation staff members to ensure compliance.

Adheres to ethical principles of the American Psychological Association and complies with local laws governing the

practice of psychology.

Interacts in a professional manner with others and demonstrates maturity, an appreciation of diversity in the workplace,

and effective communication skills, including proper use of electronic systems.

Academic Activities:

Actively participates in the residency training program, and provides written resident summary evaluations in a timely


Develops clinical course material and instructs residents, fellows, nursing, and allied health staff as needed.

Conducts clinical research projects, publishes scholarly articles and abstracts, makes presentations at professional meetings, and attends continuing education courses to promote personal and professional growth and maintain competency.

Seeks to enhance the national visibility of the institution and department through relevant professional public service (examples include peer review, service on journal editorial boards, service on granting agency review panels, committee and board service on local, national and/or international professional organizations).

Performs other such reasonable duties as may be assigned form time to time by the Department Chair, the Director of the Residency Program, and the BNI Chief Medical Officer.


Minimum Experience:

Two years clinical experience as post-doctoral fellow in a clinical neuropsychology training program required.

Fellowship training in clinical neuropsychology and/or rehabilitation psychology required.

Experience in neuropsychological evaluation and treatment with a variety of medical patient populations.

Self-directed in meeting requirements for clinical and academic productivity.

Minimum Education:

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from regionally accredited program required.

Minimum Licensure:

Arizona Pyschology License LIC PYSCHO

American Heart Association Basic Life Support CT CPRBLS


Fluency in English and Spanish.

Two or more years clinical neuropsychology experience in an APPCN accredited post-doctoral fellowship program or equivalent preferred.

PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program preferred.

Board certification in clinical neuropsychology preferred.

Experience with neurological and neurosurgical patient populations; experience in rehabilitation and/or psychotherapy preferred.
