Intel Labor Category Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Labor Category Manager will help establish and maintain team planning, tracking, and indicator systems for labor programs with the goal of improving long term visibility and predictability and enabling data driven decision making. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, and driving team results. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment. You will have exposure to and be able to influence project decision makers, deepen your business acumen, perform scenario planning and what if analysis. You will grow your big picture understanding, stakeholder management skills and program management best practices. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and driven with experience in project management principles and methodologies as well as proven experience in stakeholder management.

As a Labor Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Support construction labor resource initiatives across the globe

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication channels with program stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external partners

  • Reporting: Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations

  • Compare and evaluate key performance indicators

  • Drive Continuous improvement (Tools, processes, technology, business intelligence, and other levers of value) to continue to hone the way we effectively deliver projects for Intel

  • Gain proficiency in contract documents and standard business processes

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel

  • Ability to deal ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 6+ years of experience in Construction or a Construction related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in labor forecasting and capacity analysis of trade contractors.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
