Repairs HVAC/mechanical/refrigeration systems either by replacing or renewing. Inspects and test electrical circuitry or equipment as needed. Estimates quantities on materials needed to do job and prepare requisitions. Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical and mechanical components to ensure proper operation of equipment throughout all parts of the hospital. Read and comprehend blueprints, technical manuals and other publications for proper maintenance and operation of equipment. Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/spiritual, and age specific needs of those served. Prevents system failures by ensuring that proper preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs are established and functioning properly. Provides necessary direction to rectify adverse situations or conditions. Qualifications:High school diploma/GED preferred or technical training equivalent, plus (10) years of specialized training/experience in the electrical and mechanical field. Training in specific items of equipment such as boilers, chillers, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building automation systems is very desirable. Must have a valid NC driver’s license with a good driving history.
