Instructional Technologist

The Instructional Technologist for Health Sciences Information Technology will play a pivotal role in enhancing teaching and learning experiences through the effective integration of technology in the curriculum. You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders from across the health sciences to develop and implement technology-driven strategies and solutions that support instructional goals and engage learners. Your role will be instrumental in facilitating the integration of technology into the curriculum, fostering innovation, and ultimately improving student engagement and success.

Responsibilities: Provide support, and guidance to educators in the effective use of technology tools and platforms for instructional purposes. Develop training materials and deliver training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. Diagnose and resolve issues related to learning management systems, student information systems, content management systems, and other educational technology tools. Conduct needs assessments and stay updated on emerging educational technologies and trends to recommend appropriate tools and strategies for instructional improvement. Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and instructional designers to identify, design, and implement technology solutions that align with instructional goals and enhance teaching and learning experiences. Assist end-users in the setup and configuration of education systems, user accounts, course materials, and permissions. Establish partnerships with external vendors and organizations to stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in health sciences education technologies. Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with a wide range of educational technology tools, software, and platforms, such as learning management systems (LMS), multimedia authoring tools, content management systems, and collaboration tools. Proven experience working as an Instructional Technologist, Educational Technologist, or a similar role in an educational setting preferred.
