Laboratory Research Technician

 

The Department of Surgery is looking for an entry Level Laboratory Technician to assist the Lab Manager in duties such as assisting with Human HC isolation and shipping. To assist with culture experiments as well as with serum sample pickup and processing. The incumbent will also assist with lab maintenance tasks such as glassware and washing.

Job Summary

 

 

Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.

 

Essential Functions

    • Assist with human HC isolation and shipping
    • Tissue culture experiments
    • Assisting with tissue and serum sample pickup and processing
    • Lab maintenance and glassware washing

Physical Effort

Light: Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
