Wabtec US Rail, Inc. seeks Machine Vision Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA.

· Advanced image processing algorithm development.

· Real-time implementation of machine vision algorithms.

· Test and verification of system performance.

· Research new algorithms to detect and identify various components of interest in complex scene images.

· Improvement of existing algorithms to enhance their performance.

· Add additional functionalities to the existing algorithms.

· Exhaustive testing of algorithms along with the supporting software.

· Code base maintenance for current systems.

· Use knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles to write technical reports and take part in preparation of manuals for the products being developed.

· Image acquisition software and hardware development.

Telecommuting permitted.

Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 1 year of experience. Additionally, this position requires 1 year of experience in each of the following:

· Python;

· Machine Learning;

· Software Version Control(git); and

· Point cloud or depth maps, image segmentation, image pre-processing, and Image Processing.

Requires domestic travel up to 15% of the time.
