UPMC Sales Coordinator Mid/Large Markets in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Sales Coordinator-Mid & Large Market will be responsible for working in conjunction with the Sales Executives in Mid and Large Market on internal sales components of the account acquisition efforts of the Sales Executives selling primarily in the 51-499 market and back-up for 500+ market segment. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing all requests for proposal (RFPs) received from all sources for completeness, obtaining additional information needed, assessing viability of case, coordinating financials with underwriting and reviewing strategy with sales executive. The incumbent will manage many internal matrix partner relationships to guide them to meet / exceed all customer expectations.
Ensure data integrity in reporting systems and management tools.
Prepare responses to RFP to review with Sales Executive.
Review with sales executive for final edits/presentation.
Coordinate transition with sales executive of sold groups to Account Management team.
Collect post-RFP process information regarding sales/declines and load into IKA; prepare Adhoc reports as needed for review by Director.
Prepare materials for finalist presentation and coordinate and consolidate materials from other partners.
Make recommendations to external sales executives on strategic direction and whether or not to proceed with the quote.
Review all relevant sales information for completeness; obtain additional information as needed by externally communicating with consultants, brokers, and prospects to achieve strategic sales viability of the case.
Scrub financial information and partner with Sales Executive and underwriting in assessing financial risk.
Load RFP and quote request information into IKA for distribution to partners.
Preparing materials for internal sales strategy and finalist meetings for review by Director.
Bachelors degree or equivalent job-related experience required
One year in sales/marketing/call center environment required, three years preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of rating and underwriting for mid-market segments
Ability to learn large market segment.
Demonstrated ability to develop an interdepartmental relationship
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to multi-task, work well independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to meet tight prescribed deadlines, identify issues, and secure resolution in a matrix environment
Excellent communication and positive influencing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PA Health and Accident License required within 90 days of hire.
