ConsultUSA, INC Scrum Master III in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Our client has an immediate need for a Scrum Master III who will be responsible for 1-2 scrum teams and help support our agile development process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in computer science, management information systems, or related disciplines is a plus
  • 4-6 years of experience with agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban is a plus
  • CSM or equivalent certification
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, values, and procedures
  • Experience with facilitation techniques, servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Experience with Agile PLM tools like JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, etc.
  • Experience with backlog tracking, Scrum and Kanban-based metrics, task definition, and story splitting
  • Experience in sprint and release planning, running demos and retrospectives
  • Experience with other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc is a plus
  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (diverse team sizes, organizations, cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Product Owner and Development Team, and leading by example. You should personify Scrum and Agile values
  • Guiding and coaching delivery teams to self-organize and achieve objectives, without assigning or dictating the work Mobilize new teams, in partnership with an Agile coach, to Agile practices and values
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Working to proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring that they are identified, coordinated, mitigated, or escalated as necessary
  • Working with Product Owner and Development Team to facilitate effective sprints by removing impediments and ensuring that stories are sprint ready
  • Reviewing current agile processes, demonstrate servant-leadership while guiding the team to improve their processes while challenging them to innovate
  • Helping foster an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and information radiation
