Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Systems Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for managing interface with customer to specify product specification and customer requirement elicitation about advance driver assistance systems. Understand vehicle architecture, vehicle communication using AUTOSAR (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Flexray), vehicle dynamics and driver assistance Interfaces. Analyze customer requirement and develop solutions, system definition, system layout, system specification, etc. Responsible for identifying affected System Elements and developing the System Architecture Design using MBSE methodologies. Define vehicle level impact based on changes at component level. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking. Interface to all internal development teams (SW, HW, Mechanical etc). Ensure system development, validation, and delivery according to guidelines and processes in place. Responsible for developing and documenting System FMEA, Safety analysis, focus area matrix, Failure Tree analysis using appropriate tools. Coordinate and track activities with local and offshore system test team. First point of contact for OEM for all functional topics, prepare technical presentations for customer. Lead and drive all customer change requests for alignment and agreements from system perspective. Support for the definition of test cases / test strategy, validation specifications analyze and document test data / results. Perform vehicle level trouble shooting and diagnostics. Prepare customer technical documentation and entire system release. Present own work results in internal teams and in customer meetings. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a System Validation Engineer, Systems Engineer, Calibration Engineer or related occupation involving systems and requirement engineering, vehicle and system test and release procedures in an automotive function. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Customer requirements engineering and systems requirements engineering using IBM Rational DOORS: (2) System architecture development using MBSE tools and models; (3) Document system failure modes using FMEA methodologies and Change Management with impact assessment; (4) Understanding and defining CPU utilization for allocated functions; (5) Networking (CAN, Flex ray, or Ethernet) and network management, AUTOSAR concepts, state machine design, diagnostics, memory management, or configuration management; (6) Hardware related Software Interface (HSI) and related firmware; (7) Analysis and debugging of issues using CAN, Vector, or Lauterbach tools; and (8) Systems verification and validation at vehicle level for meeting customer requirements. Travel Requirements: 10%-15% international and domestic. Telecommuting: Hybrid, 1-3 days in office.
