Job Function: Performs any combination of tasks to set up and operate most types of sheet metal machines including Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and Apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock. Skills to look at a print and the parts for that print, decide what the best tooling would be to bend that part. Sometimes this involves picking the right machine to use as well. Assembles, aligns, and installs tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part. Adjusts or programs machines for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.
