As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

-Back-office procedures, including recording vital signs and medical histories

-Assisting physician with exams & minor surgeries

-Preparation of treatment trays, cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment

-Room turn over and sterilization

-Stocking cabinets and treatment rooms & ordering supplies as needed

-Call in, fax, and/or e-prescribing medication

May be asked to help with some of the following after training:

-Insurance authorizations, referrals, and billing

-Medical records management
