Purchasing Primary Responsibilities and Activities
- Obtain quotes for requested materials, supplies and services.
- Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers.
- Develop, Write, and Verify Purchase Orders for requested materials, supplies, and services.
- Monitor and perform follow-up on all outstanding Purchase Orders.
- Resolve Purchase Orders differences: price differences with quotes and billed amounts; resolve all quantity differences.
- Handle purchased returns.
Develop profitable purchasingstrategies.
- Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
- Monitor stock levels and critical shortage report.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and
- compliance to terms of contracts.
- Track Vendor Quality and performance ratings to ensure Purchase Item Quality.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
- Assist in the maintenance and writing of purchasing procedures.
- Run errands such as obtain local supplies, and mail pick up.
