ABOUT THE ROLE
Holcim-SOR is hiring a full-time Laborer for Port Arthur LNG projects. The Laborer position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, equipment operation, grounds, and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain ready mix plant, buildings, grounds, and equipment managed by regional business entities. They will also be helping drive employees from different locations and help pick up and deliver supplies.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Clean up and housekeeping duties as assigned for the plant
Perform inspections and checklists on work areas.
Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced
Operate and drive the company van or truck with employees or parts/supplies to multiple locations in the area
Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: 1- 2 years general related to duties and responsibilities
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work in a team-based environment and excellent mechanical knowledge, ability to weld, and experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of company processes and procedures
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Able to prioritize work
Must have a Valid driver’s license
Required to work outside, at heights, in warm temperatures, in dusty environments, and in confined spaces.
Position may include changing schedules or rotating shifts as necessary
