City of Portland - Facilities Maintenance Worker - Barron Center
Permanent, Full-time position (Day shift) Monday - Friday and rotating on-call service.
The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maines largest skilled nursing facility. The ideal team member will be a leader that takes pride in their work and values working in a long term care facility. The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of building maintenance.
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and ability to make repairs.\ Physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions.\ Winter operations requires the ability to respond to storm snow removal on a rotation with the maintenance.\ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and residents of the Barron Center.\ Valid Maine drivers (Class C) license\ Candidates must have and maintain a good driving record.\ Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment.

Salary & Benefits:
Labor & Trades Union position (Grade 16), starting pay range \$21.55 - \$23.06 /hour.
