Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to support the Portland, Oregon location. This role will primarily be focused on support specific product packages, including the development of manufacturing plans and problem-solving issues in production. Manufacturing planners integrate product specific design engineering requirements with Boeing specification requirements, providing a clear interpretation for production personnel. Manufacturing planners interface with other production engineering teams, providing requirements and submitting orders to tool design, NC programming, and other engineering groups. Manufacturing planners are responsible for managing configuration and compliance on the complete Bill of Materials (BOM). With directly with quality and operations personnel in support of problem-solving production quality and compliance issues. Modify manufacturing orders on an emergent basis in support of daily production requirements.
Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
Assists with development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
Assists in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
Identifies tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
Assists in tooling dispositions. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues of limited scope.
Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs.
Assists in providing input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
Develops work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents.
Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3 or more years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with large scale metals machining and assembly
Experience writing technical work instructions
Typical Education/ Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
