Cornerstone onDemand Principal Counsel, Strategic Sourcing in Portland, Oregon

In this role, you will…

  • Report to the General Counsel and provide business and legal affairs support for all the company’s global strategic sourcing matters.

  • Partner with the Technology, IT, Marketing, and Strategic Sourcing teams in connection with the negotiation and drafting of all global procurement contracts.

  • Develop, maintain, and implement forms, processes, procedures, and best practices related to all strategic sourcing activities.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

  • Degree from a top tier law school and a member in good standing in CA or other jurisdiction in the United States.

  • Ten plus years’ experience in a law firm or corporation negotiating and drafting procurement contracts.

  • Experience or familiarity with SaaS or other tech businesses strongly preferred.

  • Strong history of performance in demanding, high-growth environments.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills with a collaborative and flexible approach when partnering cross functionally with others.

  • Willingness/ability to work across time zones

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, sometimes in the face of unknowns.

  • Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced and high-volume environment without sacrificing quality, attention to detail, accuracy or timeliness.

  • A high energy level and positive demeanor when communicating internally and externally.

  • Experience working for a portfolio company of a private equity firm a bonus.

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
