Providence Program Manager in Portland, Oregon

Description

Program Manager at Groth Bldg-Portland (Full time and Day shift)

Provides leadership and expert program and project management to the Medical Staff Services of Central division. Uses leadership experience and skills, as well as project management skills to identify and implement innovative, breakthrough strategies across institutional and functional boundaries that promote a culture of high reliability and collaboration among members of the Providence Health and Services.

Provides credible information to senior leaders and professional staff for internal performance in matters of professional staff credentialing, appointments, reappointments, peer review, quality metrics, and access. Utilizes benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement in mechanics of credentialing.

Supports enterprise-wide Medical Staff Services software within the Central Division. Ensures visibility and collaboration with PSJH system teams related to Medical Staff services software development and implementation, and System access.

Collaborates with professional staff leaders, executive, and directors of ORQMMSS to ensure reliability and quality in matters related to credentialing and peer review.

Is accountable for multiple complex projects, obtaining measurable strategic objectives and goals.

Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept, caring and respect, and which reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Upon hire: Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or in the process of obtaining certification

  • Minimum 3 years of Medical Staff Coordinator experience

  • Minimum 2 years progressively responsible roles in project management

  • Working knowledge of Medical Staff Services software system/ data base

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with emphasis in healthcare
