DEPARTMENT: OB/GYN

THE POSITION

St. Lawrence Health is looking for a full-time OB/GYN to join our team of dedicated providers!

  • The ideal candidate will be BC in OB/GYN and have prior leadership experience
  • Physician is anticipated to allocate 30% to administrative role as Regional Medical Director and 70% to clinical work
  • The Regional Chair of OB/GYN is responsible for strategic leadership, clinical oversight, department management, community engagement, teaching and research, and clinical work.
    • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, aligning goals with the overall mission and objectives of the hospital.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that promotes excellence in patient care, education, and research.
    • Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within the local healthcare system and our regional partner RRH, to enhance the integration and coordination of OB/GYN services, addressing the unique healthcare needs of the rural population.
    • Oversee the delivery of high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and patient safety protocols.
    • Maintain an active clinical practice, contributing to the provision of obstetric and gynecologic services and serving as a role model for clinical excellence.
    • Supervise and mentor a team of obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, nurses, and support staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
    • Manage department resources efficiently, including budgetary responsibilities, to ensure the effective functioning of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.
    • Build strong relationships with community stakeholders, local healthcare providers, and organizations to enhance the hospital's presence and reputation in the region.
    • Participate in community outreach programs and educational initiatives related to women's health.
    • Collaborate with medical education programs to facilitate the training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Maintain an active clinical practice, including outpatient and inpatient care. Clinical care with comprise of 70% of clinical activity while Administrative work will be 30% of activity.
    • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of clinical care protocols.
    • Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure effective and efficient clinical operations.
    • Participate in on-call rotations as required.
OFFERINGS
  • Full-Time Base Pay Range: $450,000-$500,000
  • Additional compensation - Performance based-incentives, sign on bonus, annual allowance for CME, licensing, and dues.

Pay Summary: The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $450,000.00 - $500,000.00
