Lead Installer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Installer at Shore Industries plays a critical role in ensuring the successful installation of shade structures and porch enclosure systems manufactured by the company. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of installation techniques, and the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and other team members to deliver high-quality results. The Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing installation projects from start to finish, including site preparation, equipment setup, assembly, and final inspection. Additionally, the Lead Installer may be required to train and supervise junior installers, maintain project documentation, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Supervise and perform the installation of outdoor living shades and covers, and all products and ensuring all products are installed correctly and operational.

Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment during installations.

Lead and coordinate the installation team, providing clear instructions, guidance, and support to ensure efficient workflow.

Plan and manage installation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.

Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during installation to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.

Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that all installed equipment meets Shore Industries' standards and specifications.

Maintain accurate records of all installation activities, including detailed reports and logs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during installations, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions.

Train installation team members and clients on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of installed equipment.

Ensure all necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available and in good working order for installation projects.

Identify and implement opportunities for improving installation processes and adopting best practices.

Work closely with other departments, such as design and production, to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and client satisfaction.

Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and Shore Industries' internal guidelines.

Quickly address and resolve any challenges or issues that arise during installations, making informed decisions to keep projects on track.

Strive to exceed client expectations through high-quality installations and exceptional service, fostering positive client relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential/commercial construction with light equipment operation

Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

? Ability to move around the installation site and access different areas of the facility.

? Capable of handling and operating tools and machinery.

? Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

? Ability to lift and carry materials up to a certain weight limit, typically around 50 pounds.

? Good vision for inspecting equipment and ensuring precise installation.

? Ability to hear instructions, machinery sounds, and safety alarms in a noisy environment.

? Ability to climb ladders above 10 feet.

? Perform work with OSHA required PPE.
