Fairview Health Services Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department in Princeton, Minnesota
Overview
M Health Fairview is looking for an Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN. This position is working 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two weeks) 12 hour shifts on the Evening shift, shifts include working every third weekend rotation, pattern schedule, and a holiday rotation. This position is eligible for full benefits.
Emergency services:
Level IV trauma center and is also Stroke ready Designated by the MN Department of Health.
The department’s bed capacity is 17 which includes 2 trauma/critical care rooms, 2 behavioral health rooms.
We also treat our infusion patients after hours and weekends, when our infusion department is closed.
We consult with DEC for our behavioral patients and SANE for our forensic examinations.

Responsibilities Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate
Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.
Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP)
Ensures a safe, secure environment.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
Current MN RN license in good standing
One-year acute care experience
ACLS and TNCC required upon hire or obtained within 1 year
PALS or ENPC current or obtained within 1 year of hire
Current BLS certification
Preferred
Prefer experience in critical care, telemetry or emergency nursing
Current ICU and Charge Nurse experience
BSN or BAN
