Robert Half Systems Administrator in Princeton, New Jersey

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the financial services industry, located in Princeton, New Jersey. As a Systems Administrator, you will be involved in the daily monitoring and maintenance of various operating system platforms, providing support to development and systems operations, and ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain Linux OS, Virtual OS, and SAN based system platforms regularly

• Remediate hardware and software patches as needed

• Contribute to security assessments and address InfoSec findings

• Provide support to QA and developer environments, including software installation, monitoring, and policy-based controls across platforms

• Address Level 1 or Level 2 support queries related to network connectivity or server/network-related hardware issues

• Troubleshoot and address service requests, perform routine server maintenance, and manage hardware component failure

• Document and transition incidents in a team-based environment

• Stay flexible to manage on-call related weekend work

• Utilize your skills in 'Cisco Technologies', 'Citrix Technologies', 'Cloud Technologies', 'Database', 'Dell Technologies', 'AB Testing', 'Active Directory', 'Backup Technologies', 'Cluster Analysis', 'Computer Hardware', 'Linux', 'Linux Technologies', 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux', 'Red Hat Linux' Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in the Financial Services industry.

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and Citrix Technologies.

• Strong knowledge of Cloud Technologies and Database management.

• Experience with Dell Technologies and AB Testing is a must.

• Experience with Active Directory and Backup Technologies.

• Ability to conduct Cluster Analysis and manage Computer Hardware.

• Proficiency in Linux, Linux Technologies, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Red Hat Linux.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
