We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic Treasury Operations Specialist - North America with international experience in treasury operations and cash management to provide expertise and support in the tactical execution of treasury management activities (cash management & banking, payments execution and risk management).

  • This role will be focused on incorporating automation and efficiency gains through the Treasury Management System (FIS Quantum), continuous improvement in our operational processes, and delivering exceptional cross functional and cross-departmental customer service.

  • Reporting directly to the Treasury Operations Global Manager located in Syensqo’s headquarters in Belgium, this position is part of a global organization located in Belgium, France, Portugal, USA, Thailand, China, India and Brazil.

We count on you for:

As a Treasury Operations Specialist NAM, you will be involved in the following activities for the North America perimeter (USA, Canada and Mexico):

  • Syensqo In-House Bank (IHB) management

  • Payment and Collection activities on behalf of Syensqo affiliates

  • Maintenance and continued expansion of payment factory and internal factoring

  • Technical and functional support to the Group entities regarding IHB questions

  • Internal bank accounts follow-up including interests calculation

  • Cash & Forex management

  • Cash release to banks requested by Corporate Treasury and other departments (A/P, HR... )

  • Ensure trades are successfully instructed and acknowledged, i.e. authorize, record, confirm trade and settlement instructions, and reconcile trades

  • Bank accounts administration and first local point of contact with banks on operational activities

  • Implementation of cash concentration, pooling structures following liquidity optimization schemes defined by International Treasury

  • Preserve optimized banks and accounts landscape, identifying and deploying rationalization opportunities in the North America, when appropriate

  • Provide operational support for Treasury systems and banking portals (connectivity, user security profiles, etc.). Update POAs and signatories.

  • Review fees statements & follow up of fees discrepancies with contracts

  • Maintain up-to-date and enhance the Group Treasury Operating Manual, Standard Operating

  • Procedures & Business Continuity Plan relative to the activities under responsibility

  • Implement and follow-up internal controls

  • Issuance of LCs

  • Report Treasury performance

  • Key supporting role in Projects delivery (Treasury Management System, M&A activities, digitalization, credit cards, leasing...)

You will bring:

  • Master degree in Finance/Business Administration;

  • 7 to 10 years' experience in treasury operations with a large Corporate or within a banking environment;

  • Solid understanding of international business involving multi-currency transactions, and familiarity with the requirements and complexities of global payments transactions.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Treasury Management Systems, Bank Account Management tools, Payment platforms and Swift environment.

  • Awareness and interest in banking technologies (Swift, Digital, new payment types...)

  • Fluent in English, other languages (Portuguese, Spanish...) are considered as an advantage;

  • Highly analytical with critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Process driven and ability to work independently and collaboratively as global team members.

  • Good communicator and interpersonal skills.

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $75,760 to $100,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role include bonus and/or other incentives.
