Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a regional talent acquisition (TA) lead (TAL), you will be accountable for the execution of the regional talent acquisition operational delivery model and processes, as set by the functional TA strategy lead. This role is accountable for leading and coaching a high performance Talent Acquisition team and the delivery from our RPO Partner. Ensuring delivery of the right talent for the right role, providing exceptional candidates experience to all active, passive or potential talent for Syensqo.

Be the regional TA contact for all escalations relating to recruitment activities, acting as a consultant to business leaders and HR colleagues, on hiring activities, manage the allocation of TA resources to ensure optimal productivity levels are achieved. The region will have multisite responsibility and will support the delivery of the TA strategy and initiatives.

Your success will be created through building strong relationships across the business, being regarded as the expert in talent acquisition, both internally and externally. In addition, you will create strong partnerships with third parties delivering hybrid solutions into our business / regional programs.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Lead, coach and manage the Regional TA team, made up of TA Partners (TAPs), to deliver the full life cycle recruiting process, job approvals, proactive sourcing / advertising, candidate engagement, assessment of candidate suitability and fit, managing the interviewing process and offer management.

  • Work with the Global TA Manager to provide input/feedback defining recruitment operations that align to multiple business needs, ensuring solutions are aligned to business activities, not one process for all. Combine regional, specialist and critical solutions, across one team.

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of our NAM RPO partner activities, ensuring all SLAs/KPIs are met, and that they are treated as an extension of our Syensqo in-house TA team.

  • Act as a consultant to business leader’s/HR colleagues on workforce planning/forecasting, growth initiatives, market trends/competitor intelligence, and allocate Talent Acquisition resources in order to meet business needs.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high performing team through individual development plans, PDPs, skill development, and timely performance feedback.

  • Define and deliver highly effective direct sourcing models to demonstrate ROI, keeping the balance of productivity, quality and cost versus time and value to the business, working within a defined sourcing matrix and performance model.

  • Work with the global TA manager to review approaches and provide feedback on market conditions, to enable innovative initiatives to be designed, that deliver best in class selection processes and tools, ensuring diversity and equality compliances.

  • Manage the delivery of results through the four quadrants, quality, experience, productivity and business SLAs; reporting, ratio’s, data integrity and process adherence.

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Business Leaders and HR Business Partners, and our hybrid solutions through third party partnerships.

  • Lead and project manage recruiting initiatives that have a high impact on business growth.

  • Define personal brand, through candidate / hiring manager experiences and online presence, being a Brand Ambassador at all times to strengthen the employer brand at every opportunity

  • Be an advocate of good Social Media practices in the team and embed it in the wider business through example

  • Work with Employer Brand to ensure Syensqo job ads are updated with relevant messaging, working closely to build calendars of events and recruitment activities (eg Referrals, Alumni, Graduates etc), that drive acquisition of talent to our business

  • Work with procurement to ensure the partner program and business reviews are conducted fairly, liaising to enable the best partners to be selected / de-selected from the program as required.

  • Work with Channel Management to enable full optimisation of sourcing channels, through the TA team, creating initiatives to enhance effective usage.

  • Create recommendations for technology improvement to create efficiencies that enhance outcomes, working with IT and Success Factors to implement new ways of working.

  • On occasions when business requires, manage executive hiring vacancies directly, to support confidential activities at senior levels.

  • Management of team’s accurate data records within the Success Factors ATS system

  • Maintain with Live / weekly, monthly and quarter reports to hiring managers / HR on activity

  • Ability and flexibility to travel to site and locations, as required.

Experience and Skills

Skills, know-how and experience (must haves):

  • Proficiency in English language, verbal and written

  • Strong leadership approach to building a high performance team, strong performance management skills, through coaching mind-set

  • Experience of managing outsourcing and RPO projects

  • Be comfortable with multiple hybrid models in on solution

  • Evidence of building prescreening and behavioural interview standardisation across regional teams, to encourage skills based hiring in combination with experience

  • Experience and demonstrated success of delivering within an internal consultative talent acquisition model, across geographics and matrix environment

  • Experience with technology tools and digital platforms including Applicant Tracking System (ATS), online marketing campaigns, social media and video interviewing.

  • Understand sourcing channel optimisation, selection of partners, both on/off-line activities.

  • Demonstrate value in building employer brand messaging through every step of the process.

  • Outstanding planning and organisation skills

  • Exceptional relationship management skills and capability to build and deliver customer focused solutions

  • Evidence of strong reporting, weekly cadence and keeping track of own dashboard of KPIs

  • A track record of delivering for your team

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,000 to $113,640 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
