The Program Assistant provides office support for the Refugee Resettlement and Case Management team, including managing client data, office resources and supporting staff with clerical needs such as data entry, electronic filing, ordering supplies, and assisting with tracking refugee housing documents.

The Client Services area is responsible for providing for the immediate needs of newly arrived refugees. These needs include airport pick-up, securing housing, providing intensive case management and health screenings, enrolling children in school, enrolling adults in our in-house ESL classes as well as education and training programs, providing cultural orientation, and much more.

The candidate should have the following: Associates Degree or equivalent experience 2-3 years of prior experience working with the public in a customer service capacity preferred Fluent in spoken and written English and proficiency in a predominant foreign language of clientele (Spanish preferred) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Knowledge of computers and software applications Working knowledge of office equipment Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing Cross-cultural sensitivity and competency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Be a team player
