Robert Half Staff Accountant in Providence, Rhode Island

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant for our team located in Providence, Rhode Island. This role is pivotal in managing and processing high volume accounts payable, maintaining accurate financial records, and playing a key role in our transition to an Oracle ERP system. The employment type for this role is temporary.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the transition of our ERP system to Oracle

• Centralize and manage our accounts payable department

• Process a high volume of invoices dating back to 2017

• Utilize Concur for accounts payable processing

• Perform month-end close procedures accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers

• Resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing account information

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

• Work in-office with the team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Oracle and Concur

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes

• Excellent skills in month-end close procedures

• Ability to handle high volume data and transactions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requirements • Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Have a solid understanding and working experience with Accounts Payable (AP).

• Be proficient in conducting Month End Close procedures.

• Have experience utilizing Oracle financial software.

• Be able to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.

• Have strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Possess excellent problem-solving skills.

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Be prepared to adhere to financial policies and procedures.

• Be able to handle sensitive information confidentially.

• Possess strong organizational and planning skills.

• Have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

• Be willing to take on additional tasks as required.

• Possess strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
