Position Information

Position Title Student Records/Degree Audit Specialist

Overview

Provide administrative support to the Office of the Registrar

Essential Duties:

  • Using the Degree Works system, process authorized degree requirement exceptions to the degree audit, ensuring academic and data integrity. (30%

  • In conjunction with the Center for Global Education, post study abroad credit(s) to the academic transcript. (20%)

  • Maintain student records, including but not limited to cross enrollment with other colleges, processing registrations, maintaining holds and overrides, grade changes, enrollment verifications, biographical data changes, etc. (20%)

  • Obtain, input, and disseminate course information to academic departments. (15%)

  • Answers phone, assist with walk-in’s, respond to office emails, and direct constituents to appropriate area(s)/person(s). (15%)

    Marginal Duties:

  • Sort, open, and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail.

  • Provide support during early morning registrations and commencement events.

  • Perform all other duties as may be required.

    Education and Experience Required

  • High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two to three years of related experience in a busy, customer-service oriented office working with confidential data, preferably in a college or university setting

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize assignments while juggling multiple tasks

  • Ability to perform routine tasks efficiently and accurately

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to easily grasp office and College policies and procedures

  • Working knowledge of databases, Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and student information system ( SIS ) and student audits.

    Salary Information

Employees are normally hired between the minimum and the midpoint of a position’s grade range to which a position has been assigned, depending on experience and qualifications.

Salary $22.25/hour - $24.08/hour
