The Department of English and World Languages is seeking a new adjunct professor to start Fall of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The responsibilities of this part-time adjunct instructor position include teaching quality courses for the Communication and Information Design (CID) program in the Department of English and World Languages. We are specifically looking for people who are qualified to teach Speaking and Listening.
Description of Job
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Adjunct Instructor of CID will perform the following duties:
The selected candidate for this in-person, on-campus position will teach baccalaureate level courses in the Communication & Information Design program in accordance with program needs.
Specific duties include:
preparing and presenting course materials according to department curricular needs;
administering appropriate evaluations of student performance;
preparing, administering, and grading assignments;
holding office hours;
assigning final grades.
Compensation
$1,000 per credit hour up to 24 combined total credit hours for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s level degree with a minimum 18 graduate credit hours in Communication or Rhetoric
Experience teaching as the primary instructor
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s or terminal degree in Communication or Rhetoric
Experience teaching Speaking and Listening or Public Speaking at the college level
