Eaton Corporation Associate Analyst - NPI Buyer in Pune, India

What you’ll do:

This position will be based in Pune and will be in Global Shared service center of Supply Chain Management function. The principle role of the this position is to support eMobility Business in the procurement and purchasing activities of New product Introduction. This includes BOM analysis, Quote management and analysis, PO Management, NDA, Negotiations and supplier relationships. This position require the incumbent to work in US shifts.

• Participate in NPI activities and meetings from early development stage to initial production runs when hand-over to Production Buyer occurs. To support and determine the right sourcing strategy in alignment with Eaton’s Category Management and utilize Eaton’s strategic growth suppliers.

• To ensure supplier awarded business meets eMobility’s objectives in the areas of cost, Quality, OTD, service, inventory and payment terms (cash flow)

• To support plant/buyers on critical RFQ's with goal to procure material on time and reduce risks.

• Develop and execute on action plans to eliminate or minimize risk from supply base (financial, supply continuity, quality, IP etc).

• To Support Site Senior NPI buyers in achieving Key metrics - To avoid credit hold, expedite, line down situations.

• To support adhoc projects with RFQs, also leveraging CoE capabilities ("should-cost")

• Validate reports of BOM with accuracy in Material master , purchasing Info record for right SAP health check.

• Availability of purchased material required throughout the development of a new product (order prototypes and issue initial production POs). You will negotiate and implement consignment and safety stock agreements with top spend items on BOMs.

• ECO/MCO Maintenance taks for New program implementation

• BOM cost management and Supplier awarding.

• Fully adopt GPO digitalization tools (Should cost, OnePart, GPS 2.0 functionalities) for Functional excellence

• Establish supplier management processes that meet IATF standard requirements in support of IATF certifications in TJ, Tua and Rey

• Proactively work with suppliers on timelines for tooling and part development and communicate to program team.

• Validation of supplier quotes to ensure no quoting errors, consistent application of price indices, component weights and other part attributes in various supplier quotes, comparison with should-cost

• Ensure part numbers launched in production are set-up with the correct production vendor, price, MIN, MULT, lead time etc. (MRP parameters and part attributes). Both material master and PIR.

• Effective Order and Quote tracking mechanism tool for NPI programs status

• Ensure to manage PROLaunch deliverables in a timely manner (= to program schedule).

• Identify projects pertaining to process excellence maturity

• Logistics Co-Ordination

• Follow Eaton policies pertaining to supply chain.

Qualifications:

BE Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentation

6+ Years of experince in SCM
