Logistic & Stores Manager / Sr Manager.

Business Group: Measurement Solutions

Primary Work Location: Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra

Job Summary:

To optimally drive initiatives that improve the performance of both Logistics and Stores departments, it is crucial to strategize and deliver on the promised turnaround time for all shipments. This involves strict adherence to International Trade Compliance (ITC) standards, as well as meticulous attention to documentation and packing protocols. Coordination with the Corporate Logistics Team is critical for negotiating the Logistics Service Provider Rate Contract (LSP_RC) and its subsequent implementation at the MSS CoE Pune Hub. Furthermore, it is imperative to improve the benefits from Export Promotion Schemes like Advance Authorization, RoDTEP, DBK, Brand Rate, and to remain vigilant for any new schemes introduced by the government. Compliance with IDPMS, EDPMS, and MTT transactions, along with their respective documentation, is non-negotiable.

Additionally, in this role candidate will supervise inventory management, orchestrate the improvement of stores processes and compliances, maintain operational safety, and actively participate in audit processes.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Logistics Management:

  • Support the strategic planning of the organization by developing plans and work processes for the department.

  • Drive initiatives to bring continuous improvement in the logistics and stores department.

  • Provide training, coaching, and develop the logistics and stores team. Supervise the development of employees in the department.

  • Responsible to plan and achieve committed turnaround time for all shipments.

  • Ensure compliance to ITC and follow documentation and packing guidelines.

  • Responsible for the planning and executing the budget of the department in cooperation with the supervisor and ensuring adherence to budgets.

  • Coordinate with Corporate Logistics Team for Logistics Service Provider Rate Contract (LSP_RC) and implementation of the same in MSS CoE Pune Hub.

  • Increase utilization of Export Promotion Schemes such as Advance Authorization / RoDTEP / DBK / Brand Rate and proactively assess any similar schemes that the government may launch in the future.

  • Direct involvement in multiple large and critical projects to ensure our shipments packing and dispatches are on time as per our commitment.

  • Analyze logistics bottlenecks/problems and implement counteractive measures. Resolve any arising problems or complaints.

  • Ensure to meet compliance guidelines specifically for IDPMS / EDPMS/ MTT transaction and respective documentation.

Stores Management:

  • Drive initiatives to bring improvement in the Stores department.

  • Responsible for inventory management.

  • Implement and Improve Stores processes or Compliances.

  • Ensure operational safety and participate in audits.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, chemical, petrochemical, valve industry preferred.

  • Well conversant with national and international INCO Terms / EXIM Policies / Customs Procedures & Handling

  • Guide in handling Advance authorization / MEIS / DBK / SEIS / TIES / IEIS / EPCG.

  • Well-versed with Freight Forwarding, CHA Handling, EXIM Docs., Clearances & Local Transportation.

  • Good Exposure to international countries like USA, Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific.

  • Well versed with HSN Coding Systems / CD / IGST / EXIM Data / Bonding_Debonding.

  • Well conversant with MS office, word & PowerPoint etc.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical / production engineering or related field with Import Export Diploma / Certified Course / Good Exposure in EXIM in well reputed company.

  • Validated experience of 15+ years in logistics & store management.
