Paramount Ad Tech Engineer in Pyrmont, Australia

This is a permanent full-time role based in SYDNEY (hybrid work model available)

Enough about us! What youll do as a Ad Tech Engineer:

Reporting into the Head of Digital Technology, this role will have sound technical understanding of ad technologies and solutions. The Ad Tech Engineer will be a key player in ensuring our platform continues to provide a leading user experience. The candidate will be working with developers and product owners to communicate desired technical outcomes and issues as they arise.

Duties and Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for managing existing ad products and helping advance new video and display ad technologies.

  • Some out hours work will be required to support business needs and major planned events.

  • Interface between local and international Video ad ops and technology team

  • Support the video and advertising operations during planning and execution of major events

  • Ad serving expertise, including offering escalation and troubleshooting for the ad ops team

  • Helping ensure video ad serving is optimised, across Live and VOD. Drive improvements wherever possible.

  • Understanding of video and Advertising industry standards

  • Implement new ad configurations across all digital channels

  • Advocate for best practices in video and ad serving throughout N10

  • Guide internal and external software developers on implementation of ad products and features understanding API / SDK documentations.

  • Be a subject matter expert in debugging advertising issues cross platform.

Experience and Skills:

  • Able to understand technical documentation (SDKs), API specifications and able to work with engineers on implementation across web, iOS, Android, TV platforms

  • Advanced publisher experience with Google Ad Manager with setup and integration

  • Troubleshooting and optimisation of performance and delivery issues within Google Ad Manager

  • Work with technical account support teams from ad tech vendors

  • Knowledge of, and experience analysing log level data

  • Experience with OTT application and platforms

  • Possess an analytical mindset for troubleshooting and investigating issues with tools like Charles Proxy and Fiddler

  • Experience with Google DV360 desirable

  • Excellent written and oral communications

It would be advantageous if you have these skills:

  • SQL experience

  • BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc)

  • Any software development and coding experience
