Job Summary
The Director of Patient Transportation and Patient Observation Services is responsible for the effective leadership of services which includes the successful management of supervisors, finances, client relations, patient and customer satisfaction, program quality standards, performance improvement, and personnel performance and productivity. The Director will also be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, directing and controlling of Patient Transportation and Hospital activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics
Develop and recommend department operating budget
Coordinate transportation activities and services with other hospital departments
Maintain records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department
Establish work standards and work flow
Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations
Fosters good client relationships
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
Demonstrate proficiency with respect to TeamChimes, TeamTransport and all related software
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher preferred
Previous hospital patient transportation/safety experience is helpful
Management experience in a healthcare setting is desired
Management of at least 30 or more employees required
Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
General intuition for business
Excellent interrelation skills. Service/quality demeanor
Ability to plan, prioritize, and achieve effective time management
Ability to work under pressure and meet established benchmarks
Public speaking/client presentation experience
