Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

If you are a manufacturing professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an excitement opportunity to join our talented and growing team in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. As the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the stamping presses machinery and peripherical equipment. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations.

As a Stamping presses Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Install production and support equipment in conjunction with Engineering and Production guidelines under direct supervision.

  • Maintaining smooth relationships with external departments through communication and cooperation

  • Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during, and conclusion.

  • Oversee activities to encourage good teamwork.

  • Manage and monitor the purchasing, distribution and inventory control of maintenance material. (include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuit components, lubrication systems components, and pneumatic circuit components.

  • Responsible to improve equipment reliability and uptime.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent

  • Strong electrical and system engineering skills and knowledge and general mechanical understanding

  • Knowledge of Press Controls systems.

  • Previous experience technical or technical support role

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience

  • Previous project management experience

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • More than 5 years maintenance career

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • Trouble shooting ability for PLC based automation equipment.

  • AB PLC program and control circuit experience

  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.

  • Experience reading and troubleshooting machine electrical drawings.

  • Good organizational, project management, and presentation skills

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing fundamentals

  • Capital equipment procurement experience, including specification, purchase, qualification, and installation.
