Aerotek Machinist in Redmond, Washington

Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Design, engineer, manufacture, repair, and overhaul a broad portfolio of aviation and industrial components, accessories, subassemblies, systems, and aircraft structures. Partner with OEMs and operators of commercial, regional, business, and military aircraft worldwide to provide products and services that solve their hardest problems. Commit to quality, service, and meeting the specialized needs of each customer. Participate at all levels of the aerospace supply chain – from single components to complex systems, to aerospace structures and their contents. Provide solutions for the entire product life cycle of an aircraft – from raw material to aftermarket service.

Hard Skills

  • Setup, validate, and run product using CNC lathes (Doosan) and mills (Horizontal)

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, hones, grinders, and other manual machinery

  • Perform inspection of machined products and document results

  • Work with hazardous chemicals such as Acetone, Alcohol, coolant, and oils

  • Prevent and monitor Foreign Object Debris

  • Check and document drawing dimensions using measuring devices

  • Maintain orderly and retrievable records of work performed

  • Use computer to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Work Environment

Only 2 people on night shift, must be able to work independently. Safety glasses required. No medical certifications required.
