A distributed system this large requires a creative change management service that rolls out code and configuration to datacenters around the world. As a Software Engineer II in the Deployment team, you’ll have the opportunity to make high impact changes daily. Responsibilities

  • Drive design, analysis, development, deployment & operations efforts for multiple enterprise services.

  • Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).

  • Actively engage in improving mature Software engineering standards and practices with the team/wider organization.

  • Mentor and guide other eng.ineers on the team, acting as a SME for designated areas of the platform.

  • Explores new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also focusing on improving monitoring and operations at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C# or any equivalent high-level programming language

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience with coding and debugging, and understanding of software design principles.

  • 1+ years of experiences building with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or any cloud provider.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or any equivalent high-level programming language

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#,or any equivalent high-level programming language

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experiences working with software profilers, performance tuning and working knowledge of OS/Kernel.

  • Experience developing large-scale, high availability services.

  • Experience working on large-scale Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems .

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
