Amazon Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Principal Manager, Project Kuiper Marketing in Redmond, Washington

Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

We are looking for a Head of Lifecycle Marketing to drive consumer and enterprise engagement, upsell and retention across the Project Kuiper customer segments. You will own lifecycle marketing programs to improve engagement and retention KPIs globally for our subscribers and contract holders. You will work cross-functionally across the Kuiper marketing, product, BI and finance leaders. The Head of Lifecycle Marketing will be the expert on customer behavior and business drivers, ideate new initiatives to improve key metrics, and build the case within the marketing and business operations teams, as well as to engineering, and/or financial resources to support the goal. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading successful engagement marketing teams and working collaboratively across multiple organizations to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

• Own Project Kuiper lifecycle marketing strategy and regular reporting to senior leadership on progress and upcoming projects to drive engagement, upsell and retention metrics

• Own key retention and engagement metrics for Project Kuiper consumer ISP and business customers identified as high-value actions (HVAs) or key predictors of churn

• Define a multi-channel retention strategy to engage new B2B and B2C customers, drive feature adoption, upsell users to new offerings and save at-risk customers

• Partner with the marketing acquisition leaders on lifecycle strategies to complement acquisition and growth KPIs

• Evaluate the end-to-end customer journey to identify opportunities to improve our effectiveness and collaboration across the pillars of retention: data, personalization, marketing automation and product experience

• Go deep with product leads around customer experience (voice, mobile experience, subscriptions management) to advocate on behalf of our customers across our different devices

• Partner across our personalization and Martech teams to ensure the right data signals, personalization models and marketing tools are being built and leveraged to deliver the most relevant content and experience across the customer lifecycle

• Partner with BI on the prioritization of the highest ROI models, reporting, and insight generation that will drive needle-moving retention improvements

• Partner with other Amazon businesses (Prime, Prime Video, Audible, etc.) to learn and adapt retention best practices for Project Kuiper

• Champion best practices across global marketing teams and tier leads, who support retention efforts across Amazon products and services

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • 3+ years with digital media (video, music, games, software) and/or consumer subscription products, and B2B relationships

  • 7+ years managing lifecycle, engagement and/or retention marketing for a subscription service

  • 3+ years of mobile experience with consumer technology product or service

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/advanced degree

  • Experience managing across global teams and KPIs

  • Possess keen analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think critically and use data to derive insights and inform marketing plans

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
