Requirements: Job Description: Title: Technical Writer Location: Remote (EST hours) Duration: 12 Months Summary: The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files. Job Responsibilities: * Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology * Maintain records and files of work and revisions * Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication Qualifications: * 10+ years' experience required * Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience * Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills * Ability to read some programming code * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Candidate Requirements * Years of Experience Required: 8+ overall years of experience in the field. * Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role. * Disqualifiers: None. * Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain significant and recent previous experience working with cloud products. * Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience * Minimum 8+ years' experience with Technical Writing. * Minimum 8+ years' experience with GitHub/Markdown. * Minimum 5+ years' experience with Coding (preferably with C# and .NET or .NET Core web apps).
