Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and clinical supervision of patient care for specific unit(s), patient population and assigned staff.

  • Promotes an atmosphere that is responsive to the needs of patients, nursing, and medical staff.

  • Directs and supervises care team members and ancillary staff in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating patient care in department according to predefined standards.

  • Assists the management team in performing annual and ongoing performanceappraisals of employees based on job descriptions, policies, protocols, and procedures.

  • Knowledgeable in care of patient: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and education.

  • Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

  • Oversees charge and charge reconciliation.

  • Applies Patient Safety precautions and principles to patient care, including all applicable National Patient Safety Goals, and adheres to medication management policies and procedures. Aware of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and department function and strives to manage situations to minimize risk.

  • Understanding of how to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Patient/Customer Focus Ensuring that the patient/customer perspective is a driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients enabling individuals to stretch their capabilities and accomplish the business unit’s strategic priorities.

  • Managing People, Projects and/or TasksManages collaboratively and coaches others to achieve optimal performance

  • Delegates effectively; praises/rewards contributions; defines clear roles and responsibilities; sets goals and leads initiatives; adjusts plans as necessary.

Technical Competence

  • Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Company’s direction within area of expertise.

Functional Competency Details

  • Budgeting Knowledge of organizations budget process and ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.

  • Clinical Policies and Standards.

  • Knowledge of all clinical standards and policies set for a healthcare environment; ability to use industry standards, policies and procedures in the processes of clinical practice. Knowledge of and ability to manage a cardiac catheterization laboratory and operations, including monitoring the development, interpretation and application of laboratory services and programs and operational policies and procedures.

  • Clinical Leadership Knowledge of key business concepts relevant to the healthcare function

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related field.

  • Education Associates degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Licensure:

  • Current R.N. or RT or CVIS Certificate/License required

  • ACLS From American Heart Association

  • BLS From American Heart Association

Pay Range

$54.43 - $78.93 /hour
