Description/Job Summary

Packaging Technician is responsible for the proper identification of slit rolls and to ensure each roll is packed and labeled according to the customer specifications. Responsible for the proper use of packaging equipment, the preventative maintenance, and housekeeping of the equipment and the area.

Responsibilities/Duties

Verify customer requirements by reviewing packaging specifications.

Having the ability to identify exception codes and use the proper packing supplies.

Must be able to print labels at the packaging station and how to verify the roll data for each finished roll coming off the conveyors.

Must be able to weigh the finished pallet and to properly apply label to pallet verifying data.

Ability to operate forklift and to stack material using a forklift.
