Edgecortix Inc. Senior Technical Sales Manager in Remote, Japan
EdgeCortix is hiring for a senior technical sales manager position to join our Tokyo/Kanagawa based team and drive sales activities for our artificial intelligence (AI) processor and AI acceleration software products. While located in Japan, you will be primarily involved in supporting customers locally, including the broader APAC region, across defense and commercial sectors.
As part of the global sales organization in EdgeCortix, in this role, you will be instrumental in expanding the market for EdgeCortix's hardware (AI processor & boards), software and related intellectual property products. This role operates at both a strategic and operational level, and the responsibilities range from building the value proposition (researching competitive solutions), sales and partner enablement and ultimately the market success of the EdgeCortix products with customers and existing partners. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy in the semiconductor industry; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. It is essential that you enjoy spending time with customers to understand their pain points, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
Sales Scope and Key Responsibilities
Identify new sales opportunities in both commercial and defense markets
Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to customers on our products
Pricing and contract negotiations
Guide customers through various steps of the sales pipeline process
Provide feedback on customer needs and inputs for future product development
Coordinating sales & marketing efforts internally and externally, reporting to the Sales Director in Japan
Native Japanese speaker with strong English language skills is mandatory for this position.
BS in computer science or electrical engineering (or in a related field) with 10+ years of technical product sales and business development experience.
Experience with customer engagements and ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively with customers.
Experience communicating with hardware and software groups.
Experience selling into robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems, vision applications, defense and space industry.
Nice to have
Understanding of microprocessor/FPGAs or related semiconductor systems and architectures
Understanding of machine learning solutions for the cloud or edge markets
Experience in structuring complex deals with large organizations
Can do attitude, execution and results focus, highly accountable, strong team player, high integrity, visionary, innovative. Capable of handling difficult conversations in a professional manner.
