COLSA Corporation Personnel Assistant II- Staffing (NTSS) in Remote, Mississippi

This position is subject to Wage Determination as outlined in the McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act.

This position is a mid-level human resources assistant. This position serves as a clerical expert in independently working staffing inquiries.

  • In this position, one may perform tasks beyond routine clerical such as: responding to routine questions on vacancy announcements and other customer inquiries.

  • This assistant may be asked to evaluate and consolidate information from various sources under short deadlines, such as internal or external employment inquiries.

  • May provide guidance to lower-level Personnel Assistants.

  • Extensive knowledge of various software packages and systems required. Guidance is provided as needed.

  • Completed written work receives close technical review from higher-level personnel office employees. Other work may be checked occasionally.

  • Support includes but is not limited to assistance in: HR information systems, and Vacancy Announcements.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, updating data in automated systems, customer services oriented, and meeting deadlines to meet customer requirements.

  • Must be able to undergo an investigation for a position of Public Trust; U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR experience in support of NASA programs

  • Prior experience supporting NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC)
