Eaton Corporation Assembler II- 1st Shift in Reno, Nevada

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II- 1st Shift. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $21.25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The Assembler II is primarily focused on assembly for our welding department and assisting the welding team as needed. The Assembler II will help with large-part construction through assembly and regularly handle up to 50-pound parts and materials. This role has the potential to advance within our welding department to various positions.

In this function, you will:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components

• Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fastening devices

• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams

• Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, brushes, or scrapers.

• Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large-part construction

• Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:

o Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout the shop floor and office areas.

o Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals, and status to the shop floor.

o Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

• No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Criteria:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.

• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.

• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise

• Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day
