SUMMARY:

We are seekingexperienced and compassionate Medical Assistantsto expand our impressive Medical Assistant team! The chosen candidates should possess a great attitude, passion for learning, commitment to helping others and excellent customer service.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES' policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Significant experience as a Medical Assistant required.
  • Computer-literate required
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Prior experience with target population preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Medical Assistants (MA) are versatile medical professionals who provide assistance to physicians, advanced practice clinicians and their patients. Medical assistants perform a combination of administrative and clinical tasks within the healthcare setting. The MA's primary focus is assisting with delivery of high quality, evidence-based care to patients. Our MAs support the multidisciplinary team, provide education and resources and take an active involvement with patients to ensure optimal wellness. Medical Assistants may lead a team, oversee a program or provide education which contributes to HOPES' mission in ways other than patient care.
