Micross Components Program Manager in Research Triangle, North Carolina

The Program Manager will requires the successful candidate to manage the IR Scene Projector (IRSP) program area by coordinating and monitoring lot scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of projects in the program area. Responsibilities include supporting contract/PO negotiations, contract/PO modifications, and coordinating the preparation of quotes, project schedules, project specifications, and financial conditions of the contracts/purchase orders. The position will direct the program team and work with the operations team to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules, develop solutions to program/project challenges, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This position will be the primary point of contact for customer communication (weekly customer calls, technical discussions (email or conference call), and monthly reports. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with some knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing.

  • Daily tactical management of process development activities across multiple projects with a team of senior-level engineers.

  • Program Management of IRSP program area, including project quoting, setting project schedules, managing projects to budget and schedule, and setting program team priorities.

  • Prepare project status reports (emails, PowerPoint slide decks, and/or Word documents), lead weekly customer meetings and customer communications.

  • Employ standard troubleshooting protocols.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Capable of collecting and analyzing data

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Project or similar

  • Generation of reports for customer communication

  • Possess strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent hands-on laboratory skills is a plus.

Requirements

  • US citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required.

  • Program or project management experience, including use of Gantt charts and budget management

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in physical science or engineering is preferred

  • Hands-on experience in wafer processing and basic semiconductor device processing is a plus.

  • Overall experience data recording and data presentation (PowerPoint) is a must.

  • The ideal candidate should have project management skills in an R&D environment with the ability to facilitate optimization of processes to a mature manufacturing state, along with appropriate QA checks and measurements.
