Description:

As a Piping Design professional you will participate in making history designing and building a Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. This will be a one of a kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from WWII and Cold War plutonium production into a state that is safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect and insure the safety of near by river systems, communities, and wildlife throughout the northwest. Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.

• PE Registration

• Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL

• Prior experience using Pipe SupportModeler software

• Previous Bechtel project experience

• Previous DOD/DOE project experience
