GENERAL SUMMARY

The Vice President for Corporate Support Services is a direct report to the CEO and member of the Executive Leadership Team. They are responsible to coordinate with other executives and lead departments supporting the agency's nuclear and non-nuclear electricity generating portfolio, in addition to other member services business lines. In particular: human resources, benefits and compensation, labor relations, succession planning and leader development, occupational health services, performance incentive programs, maintenance and long-term planning for agency non-nuclear facilities, and corporate information systems programs including cyber-security. Excellent candidates have broad leadership and management experience in multiple functional areas, experience in public power or other government agencies/non-profits, experience in negotiating with and building positive relationships with a represented workforce, experience in presenting to and working with governing boards of directors, demonstrated ability to develop and execute a long range financial and capital plan. While not required for success in this position, candidates are encouraged to list experience in nuclear plant operations, major project management, corporate finance, and legal/regulatory compliance for Executive team rotations in support of corporate succession plan.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide leadership and management direction with the creation of the vision, strategic objectives, and key business initiatives for Energy Northwest.

Apply and support the application of sound leadership principles and techniques.

Personally demonstrate and place an expectation that Energy Northwest core values be continually applied in day-to-day activities.

Create an awareness of identifying workplace efficiencies and cost reduction methods to achieve our strategic goals for cost of power.

Further safety and environmental protection awareness and achieve the goals identified in our strategic plan.

Develop current and future leaders through succession planning, use of developmental plans, and through active monitoring and coaching.

Work to eliminate organizational barriers, which limit our successes.

Support Employee development through various development processes, including creating individual developmental plans based on feedback from the Leadership Assessments and other tools.

When designated, act for and successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities of others at the Vice President level or higher.

Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.

Must support the biennial refueling outage.

Must provide support to the Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 15 years progressive management/leadership experience, including preparing and delivering oral presentations to Executive Board/Board of Director levels and to internal/external organizations.

Pay Range

$250,000.00 - $350,000.00 Annual

Midpoint:

$300,000.00

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role will be eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive plans. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
